1. Information we collect
When you register a Sankalp or make a donation, we collect: the parent name(s) you wish to honour, the occasion, the Sankalp date, your mobile number, and optionally your email address. We also store the transaction identifiers returned by our payment gateway.
When you browse the site we do not use analytics cookies. A single session-scoped browser storage key remembers whether you have already seen the welcome video during your current session.
2. How we use your information
Sankalp and donation details are used to fulfil the Sankalp on the chosen date, to issue an 80G tax-exempt receipt where applicable, and to send you a confirmation. Contact details are used solely to reach you about the Sankalp or receipt in question, and never for marketing without prior consent.
3. Third parties
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited under their own terms and privacy policy. We share only the minimum information required to initiate and verify the transaction. We do not receive, store, or handle your card, UPI, or bank credentials at any point.
Email receipts are dispatched through a transactional email provider. We may share your email address and Sankalp details with the provider strictly for the purpose of delivering the receipt.
4. Data retention
Donation records are retained for a minimum of eight (8) years in accordance with Indian income-tax reporting requirements applicable to 80G-registered institutions. Contact details submitted as part of a Sankalp are retained for as long as the Sankalp remains active on the Wall of Honor plus any statutory retention period.
5. Your rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or ask us to remove your Sankalp from the public Wall of Honor. Requests can be sent to the contact address below and will be actioned within thirty (30) days, subject to any legal retention requirement.
6. Contact
For any privacy-related query please write to sewa@maatpitahgowdham.com or by post to the Banur–Ambala Road, Village Khallour, District Mohali, Punjab.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page along with the revision date shown below the title.
